WANT SOME RUMMBLE

Picking an exhast, want the deepest, throatiest, rummble possible, can't stand raspy, sounds like crap. Getting BBK shorties, from there it's up in the air. Flowmaster Super 40's?, magnaflow's?, borla?, dynomax?, SLP?, can't hear them all, any help?

Re: WANT SOME RUMMBLE

I'm a sucker for Borla's. Magnaflow Magnapaks are just as good as the borla stingers as well. SLP's are just loud and very blatty/raspy. Flowmasters are just cheap piles of turd. Dynomax, I've heard good things about those, but never heard them in person.

There's another one out there called heart throb that TPS here in town touts pretty strongly. I'm not a fan of them as they sound like a very hollow sound to me and not a throaty full sound.

So, I would say

1. Borla Stingers or XR1's
2. Magnaflow Magnapaks
3. Bassani
4. Dynomax
5. Heart throb

And no where on your list should be SLP's nor chokemasters.

Re: WANT SOME RUMMBLE

heathrobs with an x pipe would give what you are looking for, mine is hollow sounding because of the h-pipe.

Re: WANT SOME RUMMBLE

How much difference does a x-pipe make, as opposed to a h?

Had Basanni axle back mufflers fitted yesterday what a blast, muffler shop had no experience of them & said they produced the wildest rumble they had ever heard on axle backs, man they are stunning. Go on- line to web site check them out.

Re: WANT SOME RUMMBLE

If you want a really good , or in my opinion the best sounding mustang exhaust go with a borla stinger catback with the MRT high flow H-pipe , The borla has the strength and the loudness and MRT's high flow H-pipe really gives it a deep classic american muscle rumble. At least check it out.

Re: WANT SOME RUMMBLE

I've had the UPR on my car for a few years now...it is plenty good.

It will take you about an hour to swap it out on jack stands...this includes getting the car up in the air and all.

You'll need a 14mm or 15mm deep well socket and a long extension, or several shorter extensions. You need to be able to reach up in about 18" or so worth of extensions on the passenger side.

It's just 8 bolts that come off the stock stuff, then put the new x in. Piece of cake.

Does your LT BBK's look like my avitar picture? Because BBK assured me that 50% restriction of one of the head pipes does not effect performance I ordered two sets of BBK's and am a proud Kooks owner
