Accel drag

Can someone please tell me why the old mustang drags a little when I take off its not like a transmission skip it just takes forever to get out of first but once it does I don't feel it anymore and it doesn't do it if I've been driving for a while

When is the last time you changed your trans fluid and flushed the converter?

Here are some things you can do. Add an SCT tuner to this also and you will feel a big difference in your transmission. You might have a 1-2 shift spring broke the valve body upgrade would fix that. My buddy did this to his 03 GT and it would chirp the tires all the way through third.
