I looked at a 2013 GT premium and the damn thing was 40K. I've been told the 02's were 26K and someone else said 28K. 28 seems a bit high.

The sticker on mine was 26 and some change. If course the new ones are more expensive because of the change in money. Gas in 03 was near a dollar and now its 3.50 and many other things have increased as well. Everything is going up

Yeah I know about everything going up but pay. I just got sticker shock at 40K, I'd rather buy a 03-04 Cobra for 22.

My buddy paid $24k out the door for a loaded 2004 GT in 2004. Every option except the auto.

My wife's premium 04 auto gt sticker was $26k.

My loaded 03 cobra vert was $39k...

Prices on new cars give me headaches.

Don't be shocked on the sticker price for new cars. There are a lot of rebates. My good friend picked up his 2013 GT premium with Recaro's for 32k out the door. Sticker and what you should pay are two very different numbers.

Find me a way to get a new gt500 for $40k and I won't get upset. Hell, you can't buy a truck for under $20k anymore.

If I can find a way to get myself a new GT500 for 40K I'll be sure to let you know. The sticker on the GT500's are scary high.

But for what you get it's a better deal than a similar BMW or Mercedes or Audi. American cars are such a good deal if you look at euro cars.

You must not drive many high end cars. Audi/BMW/Benz wipe the floor in quality over any American car. Nothing like walking off from a 6.0 Goat in a 4 door BMW with 3 people in it.
