What did I break?

Hey all. So im cruising to work in my 98 gt and I casually turned left through an intersection in 2nd gear and boom! My car made a very loud clank/pop sound in the front end somewhere. I checked my tires good when I got to work but they were fine, I thought maybe I broke a ball joint but the car drove just fine the rest of the way to work...any thoughts on what it is or what I should check?

Im at work all I have is my little pos jack in the trunk, i didnt see anything just peeking under it. What should I be looking for? I would assume the car would have been all over the road if it was a ball joint

I have no idea. If you could just jack one side up so you can get your wheel off you might be able to see. Does it steer any different?

My first thought would be the front sway bar end links. Just happened to my wife's DD honda. Bang and then a bunch of clanking as it hits off the unibody.

That's what I was thinking. Have you lowered your car?

You can't check the ball joints or steering rods unless the car is jacked up. Better get it checked out. In the meantime, drive very nice.

+1^ This is more than likely what it is. I read your post and it was the first thing that came to my mind.

I looked at it the best i could without a decent jack. Everything looks and feels okay so maybe I just ended up hitting something on the road that I didnt see. Still gonna take it easy til I know for sure
