Hey guys, getting ready to take my car into the shop in about an hour to finally get my window tint. I still haven't decided what % tint to get. In CO the legal limit is 27%. I'm debating whether to get 25% or 20%. Any suggestions? Not too sure about the difference between the two. I have black on black leather so it gets superrrr hot in my car. Thanks

Same here, I go in on tuesday though. Mine is also a black on black car and with this Tx heat it's unbearable. I am going with 20% sides and probably 5% rear.

Make sure they don't put the tint over the black dots on the upper portion of your rear window..it'll start to peel off after awhile. Happened to me and it was a pain to deal with

Just dropped her off at the shop, guy asked me what I wanted and I told him 20%. He said he is out of 20% and the closest he has is 15%. Do you think that's too dark? My only worry is being pulled over and ticketed for it.

I have no clue how dark mine is, but I haven't been pulled over for it. I think 15% is way too dark personally. Driving customers cars with a real dark tint is pretty annoying to me.

Yeah the lower % is the darkest, from 35 to 5 then presidential, I think 35 is the highest but I could be wrong

Well since its already in the shop I can't cancel the appt. The only 2 films he has are 15% and 32%. So I told him to tint the back windshield and quarter panels 15% and the front 2 windows at 32%. Hope it looks good

Why can't you cancel the appointment? If he doesn't have 20%, make another appointment.

I would honestly just told them look Ill reschedule when you get 20, instead of going with something you don't really want, there's no rush man but it's like you are rushing it because you want tint so bad

Yeah I've been waiting for a long time to get tint. I went 2 weeks ago and found out that they were both on vacation, and they just got back. Who knows how long it would've been before they got more film in stock, having a black on black car in summer with no tint sucks. Turned out pretty good though

Makes me miss my tint, I got a ticket for mine. It was 16% and legal in Virgina is 50%, but I did keep it on the back and quarter windows.

That looks pretty good, you can't even tint the front windows in NJ... well I can having had laser surgery I can get a doctor's note allowing me to put tint on my windows...

I really need to go out and get this mother tinted... did the shop you used go right over the rear defrost conduits or did they cut the pieces individually and lay them in between? My buddy had a shop that did that and it never peeled ever even though he used it alot during the winter. If you live in a place that gets ice anyway.

Yeah I heard that its bad if they put the tint over the defrost conduits in the rear, but when my car was done and I got it back, I noticed he tinted over it :/ hopefully it doesn't peel haha
