Next purchase?

Hey ME, so I'm currently debating what my next purchase is going to be for my 2003 GT. Since I bought the car (about 2 months ago) all I've done to it is just cosmetic stuff. I still have more cosmetic stuff I would like to do, but I feel like its time to un-stock my car. I'm looking at the CAI (either BBK or K&N), BAMA tune and Bassani exhaust. Can't decide what to do first, or what CAI to get. Suggestions?

Midpipe, catback, gears and tuner would be my choices. CAI is a looks only thing on a 2v, not worth the money for the power.

Should I go with the full Bassani cat back exhaust? ($749) on AM. Or just go with the Bassani mufflers/tips for only like $300?

Just get the mufflers and tips, unless you want shiny piping that no one will ever see.

I would check and see what a shop will charge to install the mufflers before deciding. My vote is tuner or exhaust.

The full catback is higher quality, but there won't be much sound difference. A quality exhaust shop should charge $75 or so to weld a pair of mufflers.

Cost me $45 per muffler to get mine welded in.

That's what I was thinking. My dad has an older SCT tune that was previously tuned to his last car. So they're charging me $150 to reset it, and another $100 to tune it to my car. Thinking I might just buy a brand new BAMA tune. Also, they quoted me around $300 for the Bassani mufflers and tips.

For parts and labor? That's not bad. Either way works for buying a tuner.

In person. If you can wait until we head to Bandimere you can definitely hear mine. I have the stainless steel Magnaflow catback (non magnapacks) and an O/R X. It'll be about as loud the straight-through Bassani muffler. I've got a video from when I went to the track with the camera mounted right above the tail pipes, but that's from when I just had an O/R X and the stock catback.

Sounds good man, I hope I can wait.. Haha I've decided that I'm for sure doing an exhaust set up for my next purchase. I'm gonna contact my dads friend on Monday to see if he has Borla or Bassani at his shop.
