Does Plasti Dip peel off of body paint easily?

So I noticed I have about a can or half a can of Plasti Dip sitting in my garage from when I did my old rims. I was thinking about painting my deck lid, just for fun (why not?) lol. Not too sure if it would look good on a black car but my as well try it out. I know it peels off rims really easily with no hassle. Wondering if its the same on body paint. Anybody painted their deck lid and removed it? Or any other Plasti Dip on the body?

First time I did my hood it took me about an hr to peeled it off but that was cause when I sprayed it I did only 2 layers so it was really thin on some spots and those are the ones that will give you a hard time when taking it off, but if you do it right and thick(4-5 coats) it shall be easier

just make sure to do a good 4-5 coats and it'll come off easy. my black out panel was on for over a year...a few weeks ago i got bored with it and the stuff peeled right off except for a small portion at the middle top where i did only 2 coats...just used a microfiber and it rubbed right off. my paint looks like it did the day i dipped it. i love the stuff so much i dipped my wheels as well

Btw...make sure to take your tape off before the dip dries or it'll crack. If It does carefully use a razor to cut the tape away.

yep...as soon as the last coat is done get that tape off if it does peel no worries...just take it off and redo the section that didn't work out well.

I know.. I mean in his pics it looks like there's some paint showing around the emblems so I didn't know if he tried taping it off instead of just peeling it off at the end

maybe try washing it off with water, after I wash my car I dry it off with a towel and if I rub the towel on the dip it leaves some stuff so I just don't really dry off the back and it's fine
