97/98 cobra vs. 02/03 gt

I curerently have a 1998 mustang gt and i am looking to upgrade to either a 97/98 cobra or 02/03 mustang gt. What are your opinions on what i should go for? Also thinking about a convertible since ive been wanting one for a long time. Convertible or hard top?

i'd rather have the 4v....stock for stock the sn95 cobra will already beat the new edge GT...plus it handles modding so much better.

Yeah i agree! Performance wise ide rather go with the sn95 cobra but i just dont know if the sn95 body has convinced me since i have a 98gt.

More details needed like the going prices around where you are, do you want a low mileage garage queen or a driver, what is your budget etc...

This is a hard one though... I'd probably get the Cobra personally just to have the numbered car. They are faster right off the bat too but if you really like the look of the New Edge the 2V might be the way to go. Up to you man.

Agreed, I'd go for a 99/01 Cobra if you can't afford the Terminator or get a Mach 1. If your price point is putting you at a place where you are limited to an older Cobra or a GT, just get the car in the best shape available. A PI 2V is no slouch and very modifiable these days.
