need hood help - Mustang Evolution

Im prolly ganna buy a Hood from someone on Craigslist, what all will I need for the Hood to fit and work on my car? Hood pins? It's aftermarket

Depends what hood... if it has holes for hood pins then yes. If not it should be a drop in and just a little adjusting

If its a bolt on hood then you should be able to bolt on , adjust, and be done, you may have to drill out your hinges to get proper alignment but that's really it! Using pins is dependent on the type of hood and weight, but I recommend using pins if you plan on doing any drag racing or a lot of highway driving just to be safe!

Here is one of them,wouldn't let me add the others,he said there are props that hold it up or something like that

Looks like a cobra r style hood and yes you will need to drill for the hood pins

You can remove the prop and get some hood struts , and just drill holes for the pins! Not hard at all! What are you lost on?

You would still need to drill and fit to your car. The pins are basically just a backup device if the latch breaks which it probably wont lol the supporting things on the side are pointless because your car now has a prop so I dont see the need in a thing like that..

You would just need to put the anchor for the pins on your car now

The plates are installed on the hood you have to drill through your frame to install the pin , ill get you a couple pics be right back!

Pic one plate on hood , pic two pin drilled through frame,pic three is a custom mounting bracket I made and welded to the frame because I didn't want to drill through the frame
