1998 Cruise Control

98 GT 5 speed

Okay so cruise control never worked since I got the car. I looked under the hood and the cable seems fine. What else could be the problem?

Fuse? Relay? Start looking for power first

How are they fine? Do they have power? Have u tested it with a test light? Just cause a fuse looks ok does not mean it doeant have a hairline crack that made it blow and looks like its ok. Did u test for power with a test light. If so then test for power going to the motor after u verify power going from and to the relay as well

Newbie when it comes to the Gt. so I looked under the hood and saw there was a hole. Picture below. Is that normal? Also took photos under the dash and there's a plug missing?

The hole is normal. I did however notice that maybe the brake switch has alot to do with the cruise control. If u have the wrong switch cruise probably wont work due to that the brake switch is used for cruise control as well
