2002 convert. Supercharged

So I'm really thinking about a 2002 for 14,000 with exhaust, upgraded shifter, supercharged, wheels/good tread. But the problem I'm hitting is that the vehicle has been in an accident. I'm thinking I should take my friend to check out the frame but should I try and use this to my advantage for a lower price even if there wasn't frame damage from the dealer selling it?

No offense man, but i wouldn't pay $14,000 for that car, even if it wasn't in an accident. Around here a supercharged gt goes for 11-12k in great condition.

Don't ever buy a car with an accident on the carfax, you'll never be able to re-sell it. Also a car WITHOUT the accident is one you go to the guy with $10k in $100 bills and say "take it or leave it".

Never buy a salvage unless for a parts car or a project you never plan on selling

I wouldn't even buy a salvage car for one I never planned on selling. You ALWAYS wind up selling them sooner or later... and even if you are that one off guy who didn't... are you really going to make your "baby" a salvage title car that someone else wrecked? Salvage title cars are great for lowballing and getting all the parts ready to go and then swapping into a clean title frame.

Definitely way tooooo much for that car. Here in California there are so many people trying to sell their super charged mustangs for as low as $4,000 with only 80,000 or less miles on it. Convertables or coupes. GT's, supercharged, etc... I just picked up my 40th year edition 2004 convertable with 40,500 miles on it completely loaded for only $3,500. He was asking $10,000. But after a month and me flashing the 3500 with no other buyers, he sold it to me. Clean title, never been in an accident.

99-04s??? I find that very unbelievable , not calling you a liar, but your telling me you see supercharged GTs (vert or coupe) with 80k or less miles very often? I do see how you got yours for 3500 because he couldn't sell and just needed it gone..but to see supercharged GTs for 4k with less than 80k on the clock that often? Maybe older years yes I see that, but 99-04 no way..find me one ill come there NOW lmao

I found two 03 cobras for sale in Cali a few years back one had 100k miles the other 78 or 88 i can't remember too clear but they had clean titles, one owner, and even had all the shop records and oil changes both have had for 10k for BOTH together. My brother and i flew over there with cash that same day. He sold them out from under us for 2,000 more. Pissed me off

Yea that's a fantastic price on a termi as well, lmao I'd be flipping out....I just can't see how many 99-04 GTs supercharged with less than 80k on the clock, have a price tag of under 4k on it....I know I'm on the other side of the country but man I just don't see that lol

Lol same here but there are alot on CL over in Cali that will blow your mind. Idk why, might be the emissions idk but there are really good deals all the time. THAT being said, my buddy found a 2002 gt vert that had an 04 cobra swap and turbo, t56, very very clean, liquid copper with chrome cobra wheels, tan leather seats with copper color lining and stitching. Had 65,000 miles. Wanted $8500 for it.

Crazy how different values are in areas. Almost worth buying a few a year and selling them for a profit in higher value areas

Shipping/gas is a ***** to get the thing back depending on where you live. Although around here a nice lower milage Termi is going for $14-$15k MINIMUM so getting one for $8k and then figure $1k worth of gas/hotels to get it back is worth it. If you have some paid vacation to burn anyway...

That's crazy. I can't even find a nice gt with low miles for under 10k here. Hell, a 99 cobra with 115k miles is still listed at 10k here

The only reasonable price I've seen, is an 03 termi for 16k. Good condition and all around a beautiful car. Numerous mods, and all he wanted was 16 for it. I was looking for a money tree when I saw that haha

Well all the stands here think if you wave or nod or ask them about the car that you are trying to street race them. Only ones that wave back are the guys in termis or ws6's.

Lol people try to race me almost daily. One guy asked to street race for pink slips in his truck.
I think mainly because i live near the speedway and drag strip and mall.
