Eaton Swap 4V

So holding off on the suspension and gears

Although I did order my upper and lower control arms Friday..

Anyways I'm picking up a eaton swap for 450.00

Has anyone done it to their 99-01 cobra or 03-04 mach 1 ?
I've seen plenty of mach 1s with just x pipe and cat backs put down 420-450rwhp

I was going to ask if it would be wise to port out my eaton and manifold .. And if I should get a smaller lower pulley since I'm going to have it out.

I'd just go with the Cobra pump setup and be done with it. Also make sure you don't push that tune much past 400whp or bye bye stock rods. Should be good for 11s easy though, well once you upgrade the suspension and get some good tires on there. You have 3.55s from the factory and I would not worry about swapping those out at all. Hell, you might even find you want to go DOWN in gear ratio once you get the eaton on there.

Oh, also, 0 need to port the blower now, won't do anything for you since your stock rods are limiting you to that 400whp ballpark area anyway.

Leave everything alone, Cobras make over 425whp easy with just a pulley swap, catback and tune, your stock rods can't even support that so anything you do with porting or what not is a waste seeing as you have the same heads as the Terminator and actually more compression.

Find someone going turbo. Also don't forget you will need a new alt and mount.

Hit up other bigger stang sites with classifieds like the Corral or ModularFords and search around there and get an idea of what the going rates are.

Yep, your manifold is required for anyone with a Terminator going Turbo or someone converting to 4V and not going the Eaton route. The Mach intake is identical to the 99/01 Cobra minus the logo.
