I do agree that the trainer could have done a better job at trying to train that guy, I make sure that all my trainees learn to put their oil cap on the hood latch so that they know somethings wrong when the hood won't close right.
That's a smart idea.

Before I got my job working as an inspector I was a journeyman at a lexus dealer. I saw many horror stories. One time a kid forgot to put the oil filter on... 30' stream of oil shot out.

Unfortunately I've done that myself and watched other guys do it. Makes for one hell of a mess if you don't shut it off fast enough.

That's what a seagull does to titanium and something even out new guys should catch. That's why we have redundant inspections I suppose...

The guy who missed it had to come back in on his off time and pull the carcass out of the core. Or what was left of it anyway. There were other messed up blades but those were the worst. Was an 8 blade change IIRC and then we had to do a balance run to power afterwards. I love doing engine runs, 40,000lbs of thrust x4 with the brakes on and everything is shaking all over the place lol.

It's amazing what bird strikes can do to an airplane. Even small birds. Yeah, you have to love the power of a big diesel. What plane was that on Scotty?

amsoil vs royal purple

Royal Purple DOES NOT SELL DIRECTLY TO WALMART...they get it from a third party.
All my fluids are RP...great reputation, and no complaints.

Hope you don't have any in the trans especially if its a 3650. Tremec has stated specifically to NOT us RP in their transmissions.

I run Motorcraft oil in the engine, Pennzoil Syncromesh in the trans, Mobil 1 Synthetic in the rear and I guarantee I'm doing every bit as well or better than I would be running RP for a ****load less money.

In the trans!? Really? Royal Purple is cheaper cuz you buy it once a year, change oil filters every 4k miles but leave the oil in. My car runs smoother with it.

I hope this is a joke.

And Tremec has stated specifically to NOT use RP trans fluid in the 3650. One of the additives they put in RP will drastically shorten the life of the trans. But do what you want, not my car.
