Need advice with some leaking problems.

So I have a 99 cobra vert. My rear differential and trans is leaking and my clutch is whining when pressed in. My question is if I pay for the labor how much will it run? If the irs has to be removed should I go ahead and buy a sra or keep the irs? Would it be easier to do it myself? I have no mechanical experience other than installing some cais lol..

Well depending on what's leaking on the differential and transmission labor shouldn't be too bad. Unless you're unhappy with your IRS then I would just keep it. Doing an IRS to SRA swap isn't the easiest thing to do when you have very little experience.

Leaky diff should be as simple as replace the seal and fill it back up, no need for the IRS to come out (well it SHOULD at some point to replace the crap rubber bushings with Delrin). Leaky trans might be the trans, you might have a rear main leaking, clutch change will vary from place to place. A good mechanic can do a clutch pretty quick all things considered. For the clutch itself I'd just get the $160 King Cobra kit and have them install that.

Its on CJP. For the diff itself yeah it can be a pain in the nuts but for just the cover it should be easy. Unless there is something else leaking...
