It's maybe a little high for price. But if it's in great condition then it's pretty reasonable.

Yeah, I'd offer like 11k and go from there. I paid $14.5 for my '04 AB Mach 5spd w/ 37k on the clock over 4 years ago.

No freaking idea why but the Mach's value is ****e. It's almost like it's treated as a special package GT. And no offense to GTs...but the Mach ain't one of 'em.

With limited production numbers and the fact that '03-04 was the first time Ford produced a Mach since '72, and haven't seen them release a Mach since...yeah they should be worth a lot more.

I plan on holding on to mine for a LONG time, they have the potential to become a huge collector car IMO.

+ 1

Still regret trading my red '03 mach in on my '13, motor was going out but for what they gave me I should've kept it and did a swap.

Its going to be one of those things down the road I try to find when things settle down...

Doesn't have the Mach rims and someone does not know how to properly select tire size either... I'd start at $10.5 and go from there if you want it and it looks good otherwise. Gotta watch out for the 03s and the head tick though, make sure EVERYTHING is kosher on the inspection/test drive.

No he needs to learn to negotiate. I see these cars listed all the time and they sit. And they sit, and they sit. Money talks, roll up on that $80k Mach 1 for $15k with $10k cash and wave it in the dude's face. You'd be surprised.

If your looking for a Mach 1, I would take a gander at the For Sale forum over at mach1registry.org.

Atleast there you can deal with the actual owner of the car who knows EXACTLY what's been done to it, and you will get a fair price. There's a SY 04 with 62k being offered for $13k right now.

Bottom line, there are great deals out there for these cars...might have to drive a little distance to get it. But honestly I'd rather go that route knowing I'm getting from someone who probably in all reality took good care of it, rather than taking the risk at a stealership.

If I had to do it all over again I would have gone that route...not that I regret buying my Mach, but it definitely came with some baggage that I didn't know about before I bought it. Going through a private buyer on the registry you stand a better chance if that not happening...not saying it can't but less likely.

And by baggage I mean my car was a factory 5spd with 8 bolt forged crank, however I found out when I replaced my clutch that a previous owner must have blown the original engine and just chucked an engine from a Auto Mach in there. A royal PITA when you realize the flywheel you bought to put on with your clutch replacement had one to many holes than was on the crank.

I have bought 7 cars in my life time and learned a thing or two about negotiating. The area I'm in, ohio, seems to have higher used car prices. A new edge GT with 100k isnt uncommon to have a 10k price tag on it.
