If its the hose out of the valve cover its for crank case ventilation

Usually to hooks up to the side of the air tube from the filter

Yeah Should be. Butnive seen guys take it off and vent it striaght to the atmosphere with a little filter before. Have you noticed any issues with the car?

If you have an aftermarket cai with no hole for it you could buy a cheap filter for it and vent that way. Without a filter you might spit a wee bit of oil out and makes a mess

thats a pcv...it runs back to the intake...the other valve cover with have a breather hose..it can be taken off and replaced with the breather filter...i'd leave the pcv and run it like it should be
