I wouldn't leave it on for more than a few days. Especially if its out in the sun. Do you mean clear tape?

If its gonna be a long term thing, look Into 3M's line of paint protecting film. I think they sell a D.I.Y. kit on AmericanMuscle. Or take it to an reputable tint or body place and they should be able to do it.

Doesn't need to be. Its like a special tough clear coat, so your paint shines through. I was getting my windows tinted a while back and some dude was getting that film put on his 2014 GT500. Couldn't tell a difference to me. And I've got amazing vision! Lol

Well well wat I'm trying to do is keep bugs off and rocks so I don't have to clean my bumper every day

Watch this video:

This will protect your paint, and not damage your car. It's like a screen protector on your phone, or a clear bra. Worth the investment for the sexy looking Stang you got.....lol

I should also say if its gonna be a college parking lot, your main Concern should be the hapless idiots in their hondas and toyotas that have no clue what they're doing behind the wheel. Both my rear quarter panels are dented in because of a college parking lot. Parking far away doesn't help, because A) most colleges are crowded, and B) it will never fail that the entire lot could be empty, but someone will park next to you just for spite. If i had to do it over again, I woulda been a Phoenix!

That I dunno. Ive never done it, just saw it being put on. I assume there is some kind or warranty, but the biggest thing is the piece of mind that even if it does get scratches, the paint will be fine underneath.

Tape will melt and get sticky
