1996 oil pressure gauge

So my 1996 mustang gt oil pressure gauge started dancing all over the place couple weeks later started hearing a light ticking noise from engine so I change oil to 20/50 filter thermostat and oil pressure switch. Ticking noise went away but oil pressure gauge still does the same no check engine lights or anything just gauge dancing around when in gear in park gauge is normal temp. Any idea what the problem could be help please!!!

Start by replacing the oil pressure switch. Mine did it to me was good on oil pressure it was the switch. If it does continue however after the switch it may be time to invest in the oil pump if not worst case scenario bearings
