clutch problems

Went to shift to 5th at 130mph it came out of 4th but basically locked in neutral.... I got slowed down to about 15mph before I was able to get into gear again... Now it's hard to shift... Any ideas?

Your clutch might be out, in that case.

Could be a variety of things. Clutch cable, clutch itself, malfunctioning shifter assembly. Hopefully someone with more knowledge chimes in.

If ur smelling clutch then i would say either its already out, or something is causing it to stay partially engaged it being partially engaged could also be why u cant get into gears unless at low speed. I wouldnt drive it untill u get to take a look at it.

I had this same thing happen to me in a 91 except it stuck in 5th and would not come out... sucked. I burned the clutch in 5th just getting it to move but then it popped out and would only go 1-3-5. Turned out to be the pile of **** B&M shifter I had in there.

Really the shifter it's self caused the problem... It's only hard to get into 5th now
