Need opinions and advice first time engine swap soon

So I plan on rebuilding my car here pretty soon and I needed you guys opinion on engines. Feel free to list engines outside of what I'm thinking about. First I was thinking about rebuilding my 4.6 v8 that's in my gt with forged eternals & more than likely a supercharger setup or vortec v3 setup. Second I was thinking about getting the 5.0 engine and drivetrain with possible induction & third was thinking about the terminator engine. My goal is get around 450-600hp. My car is paid off and I really like the 99-04 body style so I plan on keeping it. If anyone that has advice, suggestions or has done engine swaps before please feel free to comment

There's a vid of a guy sticking a Coyote in a New Edge. That's 420hp if you've got a spare $7k.

Well it really depends on what you're looking for. You can do a 4V swap, a 3V swap, carbed pushrod 5.0, Coyote swap, boosted 2V, Terminator swap, 5.4 2V, 5.4 3V, 5.4 4V, Lightning swap, etc. It just depends on your time and money really. Hell I've thought of doing a 3.5 ecoboost swap before.

I think most importantly, you need to know what your budget is first. Then go from there. There's a ton of ways to get to your goal, just a matter of how much you can spend.

+1 for sure. You can build something relatively cheap or more expensive and more reliable.

Lol yes but i cant simply put that in my car and go. An engine on a stand does me no good to go fast! Haha

Slap a Vortech kit on the 2V that's in there if it runs well, tune it to 400whp, call it a day while you build a forged assembly on a stand in the garage.

It runs well but would you suggest me putting that kit on my engine right now? It has 160k

Do a compression check/leakdown test, if it checks out good then sure go ahead. Or you can find a low mileage PI motor to swap in with the blower to tide you over till you get yours built. A 400whp Mustang properly setup and a little weight reduction will spank most things it comes accross.

Yeah I believe it! I just at that point that I'm bored with my car performance wise I want something to make me grin and I feel like a little kid all over again haha
