I did it on my '66 back in the day. Removed the back seat, covered the seat back area with marine plywood and built sort of a shelf. Then carpeted the whole area and placed the battery in a marine battery box where the right rear seat was. Used welding cable for power and ran it under the body up to the front to the solenoid. Worked great and gave me an excuse to not let anyone ride in the back.

I bought the Summit kit for $75 many years ago and its still sitting on the shelf not doing anything lol. I was too lazy to go drop the tank on my 95 Cobra and I've been too lazy with the 98. If I wind up keeping this car I will do the battery relocate when I do the fuel system. You do have to have a good box and if you take it to the track they may require it to be metal.
2000 Mustang GT Steeda #0048 34k miles. 99 Cobra 4V swapped, FTBR IRS swapped, exhaust, tuned by James Gordon.

Just because I give you advice, doesn't mean I know more than you. Its just means I've done more stupid ****.
