What exhaust should I get?

Hey guys. I've had my automatic 04 Mustang GT for little over a year now. I have the stock H pipe on the car right now. I'm beginning to put some bolt ons on to add some hp and I was wondering what is the best exhaust pipe for hp gain? I know that maybe exhaust doesn't add much hp itself but I do plan to get long tube headers etc. to add on to the exhaust. This is what I plan for my next mod.
Here is the link to my page. At the bottom of the page is the list of everything I've done to the car so far:

I think I at least want 2 cats on the pipe just so I don't attract too many cops. Also, cats and mufflers don't add or loose hp on the exhaust pipes do they? If exhaust really does play a big role in hp gain, then what company should I buy the exhaust from? Thanks!

Best practice is to get the shorty midpipe made by the same company as your long tubes. BBK, MAC, Kooks, etc...
Have you taken a peek at cliffy's first-mods page yet? It goes over some of this stuff to help make a more user-specific decision on what you want from your ride.

Personally, I'm really leaning towards the mac lt's with the prochamber. I want a nice deep tone. What are your plans?

Hell just run open headers. Not really. Check YouTube to get a better idea of what you want.

Well honestly I like the deeper sound of an H-pipe better. It gives you that American Muscle sound to it I just didnt know of h pipes limit hp at all

You won't know the difference from a x or h pipe in hp. Maybe 1-2 ho on a dyno. Not a make or break by no means.

If you like the American Muscle car sound, go H pipe for sure. My friend has a 99 GT and he put SLP LM2s and an X pipe, it sounds nice at low RPMs but its just way too raspy for my tastes. Once he gets into the powerband it gets pretty high pitched.

I love, love, love the H-pipe sound. It's all just preference really though.
