Figured someone would say that. Damn how do you make it loud deep sound.? I've tried taking cats off it didn't do ****. Right now I'm running no cats h pipe with some sort of short flowmasters on it from previous ownerI highly doubt they are 40s series cuz it's not loud at all.

Try the flowmaster 10 series. It's a single chamber and will give a fantastic strait pipe replica without the old school truck sound. Plus since u have cats it won't be very raspy. Just a thought.

That's the old pushrods though these 2vs can scream so it's harder to get deep. I'd say go with 10s. Don't do 44s you'll regret it they aren't Lou at all

1lowgt is right these things can scream with the right combo. I love the 10s but I'm a fan of the flows where most people hate the drone. But if I had the money I would get the stingers or magnapacks sounds like a stock car

My friend has magnapacks with a Mac offroad x and its very very sexy sound.theres a gt that I always seem to run into at 430 in the morning that I'm very sure sure stingers with an x ands sounds beast.nothing like a NASCAR sound.these 2 cb are the best.bassani's x is a very deep sound as well.never really liked the cb

Bbk off road x + borla stingers = $700 combo. And it is pretty freaking loud.

I have borla stingers and magnaflow x..I paid close to 900 from am back in the day..three years ago. I don't think it's that loud..but I have never heard my car rev outside of it. Besides under the hood. Your car will never sound like a Honda..and who cares if it sounds like a truck it's better than stock.

I paid almost $700 for my setup. You can always just buy mufflers and have welded in. Then you run into the offset problems.

Does taking just rear cats off make a big difference sound wise? As in louder and raspy

You can't be running an offer muffler (flowmaster) and switch to a straight muffler (loudmouths)

I have a BBK o/r x pipe with magnapacks welded in and it has a deep rumble at idle with a little rasp upon medium acceleration. At WOT it screams, still has a tone though with the magnapacks. I've had a few variations and this is now my favorite set up that I've had. Didn't break the bank either, found the x pipe used for 80 bucks from a guy who used it for approx 1000 miles (could tell it was barely used as it still almost looked new). Had a couple different mufflers welded in but have settled on the magnapacks, can order them from amazon for 60-90 a price depending on what sellers they have at any given time etc. A good muffler shop can weld them in no problem for under 100 bucks usually, even if you have the offset set up currently. They can bend a small piece of pipe and do it nicely. If you go with a complete cat back set up you will pay 500-900 bucks depending on what you go with. A note to you as many enthusiasts don't like the BBK x pipe as it is a little more raspy/poppy than others, if I was buying one over again or didn't find a deal on mine I would have went for a UPR x pipe, or a pypes x pipe as the are both under 200 bucks. My BBK isn't real raspy and like I said I have a nice deep tone but that's credited to the magnapacks. Just my 2 cents. And if you want anything deeper or high performance sounding you will have to do major engine upgrades. Some guys claim that a CAI will deepen your exhaust note also, I don't know how true that is or if you need a particular brand for this. I already had my CAI before I did the exhaust upgrades.
