Whats this thing?

Hey guys what's this little thing that plugs into the intake? It looks like some sort of sensor

Looks like a water temp sending unit.

Not sure what you mean, looks like it's screwed in as it should be. What am I missing?

It looks like it is but it isn't lol. U can simply just pull it out. I had a **** mechanic replace my intake, so it wouldn't suprise me

OK, it has to be something else then, otherwise you would have water squirting out there. A water temp sender screws directly into the water jacket.

So ever since this was posted I have been i wondering what In he hell that thing is. Even went out at midnight with a flashlight after the post because I never noticed the damn thing. Check the diagram on this page as it may help. Maybe the positive crankcase ventilator?

Have you tried unplugging the sensor when the engine is warm? If it is a temperature sensor, your gauge in the cluster would drop to cold. In theory.
