Whining noise

Hey guys, quick question. Everytime I'm driving, whether its at high rpms, of whenever I let off the gas and than re-apply the gas pedal I get a high pitched whining noise.. Been like this since the day I got it. Any ideas what it could be?

Could be an idle pulley but that would be more of a squeak maybe idk.

Gritting inside the car it sounds like it's coming from the transmission area. It got louder in the cabin after we installed his MGW. From driving behind him it's a pretty loud noise, I'm kind of wondering if his transmission fluid is low.

I usually associate a whining noise with gears...

I thought about that, but why would it sound like it's coming from the transmission? That's what I'm hung up on.

It could be trans or rear. Does it do it more in certain gears or a certain speed?

Mainly first gear, second gear.. Then quiets down around 3rd and 4th. Or whenever I let off the gas and than re-apply the gas.

When u find out let me know cause mine is doing the exact same thing and now after changing 02sensors I can not get a good idle out of it. It's like the PCM will not reset for the new 02 sensors. After high rates of speed or a high level of of rpms's it gets stuck in a very high idle and if I stop at a red light it will die. I start back up and it resets its self and idle goes back to normal.
Over the next two days I am doing a number of mods to it I.e. (Cai, magnaflow x-pipe, magnaflow cutbacks, 4:10 gears, and sf3/x3 custom tune.. I am really hoping this fixes theses issues.
If there is any advise to fix this idling problem please educate me so I can have it correct before mods

If I figure it out ill definitely let you know.. Justin (JDF) and I are gonna check the transmission fluid next time I go down, see if that fixes anything. I also wonder if an aftermarket mid-pipe would help as well.
