Another oil thread

Does my 98 GT hold 6 Quarts? I've read and yes i search using the "search" and people said the dipstick is off etc. Should I buy the new dipstick as well? I'm running Mobil 1 HM with Mobil 1 Oil Filter and it's that time around again. Manual says 5, correct?

Also I checked my dipstick this evening and was in between add/full. Sometimes when I do check, it shows nothing. Scares the **** out of me. So if I do get the new dipstick, that would solve that problem?

Thanks!

Mine uses 7 and its a 96. Ive replaced the dipstick but it may be cause of my oil cooler on the oil filter housing. On a safe bet id use 6 on yours. Manual tended to under lube ours. Plus rule of thumb 4 cyl 4 qt 6 cyl 5 qt and 8cyl 6 qts. Old mechanic rule lol. Usually dead on depending on of course oil pan depth and width or design.
