99 crown vic engine swap

So i just found out my engine im putting in my 96 is a 99 crown Vic. I bought it from a guy who said it was from a 98 mustang which is what i had in it before, but the deeper i dug into it, it turned out to be a 99. So my question is can i swap over everything to it or are there any modifications i need to make. it'll be going in my car soon and i want to make sure theres as little problems as can be by the startup date. Thanks!

you will be fine, as long as you make sure u still use your coil packs, since if i remember 99 used coil on plugs. everything is a simple swap over, but just in case make sure you check the flywheel and crank, that will be the change in motor if u have a windsor and if the motor u have now is a romeo. other than that just a straight swap right in.
