My crew just got called out by another crew to line them up at the track in exactly a month ..
I'm going to try to get alot done to my car by then ..
So far my mod list is

UCA / LCA ( Remove Quad shocks )
Tokico HP struts / Shocks
Cut Springs
Short Throw
O/R X Pipe - LM1

I'm getting FRPP 410s in Friday
I bought drag radials today , ordering wheels soon.

I'm aiming for a high 12

Those 4:10s should put you in the mid if not high 12s.

Going to remove my passenger / rear seats

Relocate battery to rear

My uncle is going to lend me some 15x4 weld pro stars for the front

Also going to get some subframes welded in soon too ( would that even help ????? )

The only thing i'd do, is polish up the *** end of your ride. After installing those mods, that's all your competition will be seeing.

My bad, gears + Subframes. The other things are just the cherry on top. Also, like said before, who and what are you racing? Stripping the interior and putting skinnies up front are going to give you a nice weight reduction.

Most likely S197 GTs , bolt on 99-04 GTs , possibly 5.0s

They don't have any mach 1s or 99-01 cobras for sure

Hmmm. That looks like a nice list of goodies.
The gears and DRs should be your biggest weapons.
If those are new 5 litres (hell, maybe even some of the old ones. Lol) you probably won't stand much of a chance against them.
The poor GTs though... Go easy on them Slow, they're fellow Mustang owners.

OK. Are you ready for MY idea? You're probably not going to like it...

But, I think, it's the only thing that's not on your mod list that still fits within your budget.

Here it is:

The H word.

HEADERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, only your ***-end considering your running a four valver. cutting the springs wont help much I think though unless you have bump stops large enough to stop the squatting of the rear end. I have eibachs pros and they squat under a mere 280 at RWHP. Can those blue devils (tokikos) do what drag shocks can? If they can don't bother cutting the springs, but first do a test and tune then cut the springs. just saying.

Only pump enough gas to make the runs you need to make and back home. If you fill up all the way you'll be carrying dead weight. Oh, yeah get some good octane booster and not the usual crap at the gas station. How about your shifting skills? Can you shift, drive and see the RPM guage at the same time? I get excited and go all the way to red line in first and that often causes me to lose time and traction; chirping all the way to 1/4.
Worse, missing 4th and shifting to the dreaded R gear. I felt like a dweeb.
