engine build

was talking about building a forged motor and a guy at work told me a horror story .. said he had given a local shop a rebuild kit and all forged parts to install in his ls1 and a year later when the engine grenade he started taking it apart to see they used oem parts...
I guess there is no way he could have known

Just one more reason to assemble it yourself or use an engine builder who you trust...

I agree and will most likely build my own. was considering taking it to a pro tho since they could do it much quicker and deal with any issues a lot smoother... but the trust issue isn't there especially after hearing that ... haven't built an engine since highschool autoclass haha but excited to start

If you can find a good machinist to do the machine work... the assembly is a piece of cake.
