If you can afford it, there are no cons.

Pro: Good power
Better base to build power on
Probably more reliable
A lot more than I'm listing

Con: car payment
Required full coverage insurance

Another con is that mt82.
I really want one but the inconsistency of that manual china made tranny makes me not want to. If you can keep both do it and upgrade to a tremec's when the warranty goes out.

+2. Generally anybody can find a way To stroke a check and get the new car but there's a lot of pride, heritage and def potential in that Mach. You already had a bad machine so I say build it and blow there doors off. I've seen it happen with plenty of 2vs and u already have a step above the sohc

This. Although the auto they put in the coyote cars is a beast, the crummy manual shouldn't even be considered.

The manuals are not as bad as the forums would have you believe.

Right. I have a little over 7 at the tires amd no problem out of mine. Its something that got blown out of proportion quick. People are having problems out of the autos also. Some peoples break others do not

Get the 5.0 you will not be disappointed. Alot better platform than the mach 1.

There is something to be said about no car payment and owning your car outright. I will never have a car payment again unless it is something that is just too good to pass up. Your Mach is sexy, you own it and the 4V has plenty of potential. You also have a known quantity.

I'd keep the Mach but its really up to you. You will turn way more heads in that Mach than you will in a Coyote. The Coyotes are badass but you see them everywhere.

Aren't we all thinking of getting a 5.0?
It's crazy how much more powerful those cars are than ours.
I run my stock Bullitt in a street prepared class in autocross because I feel that I have a better chance against the "modded" fourth generation cars in ESP than the bone stock Coyote that dominates FS.
With the drivers being, relatively, equal, they are that much faster...

With that being said, I look at those cars and think to myself, "If I just mounted a mast and sail onto one of these babies, I'd be ready for a day on the water".
My New Edge is still pretty "new" to me so I'll hang onto it for a while.

Your Mach is nice. And there is definitely something to be said about not having a car payment.
Personally, I wouldn't even consider purchasing a 5.0 until the 2015's are released. The prices will come way down. There will be good deals on low mileage cars. Kinda like the deals many of us got on our cars.

There are always going to be faster cars... But they won't always be a sexy and rare mach 1.

This is was trying to say but I'm bad at being so concise lol.

His Mach with the white and blue paint and the Cobra front bumper and the Magnums and the way it sits. I'm serious when I say that thing I'm sure turns WAY more heads than a basic bolt on 5.0 does.

But I do agree that if you are thinking of getting a Coyote wait for the 2015s to be released. We'll see a glut of 2011s being dumped for rock bottom trade in prices because the dealers will for damn sure be gouging on the new ones and offering squat for trade in.

I'm also still amazed at what ppl can get for Terminators in trade in. Guy at work had a 2003 Terminator totally paid off with around 55k miles on it. Was able to get $19k for it in trade from a place in SC and paid $3k out of pocket plus the $19k he got in trade for a 30k mile 2011 Coyote black on black 6 spd. He now owns that 2011 with no car payment haha. Seriously, car payments are horrible and I will NEVER have another one. Avoid at all costs. These days people are so nuts about having the latest/greatest you can get deals on everything if you buy smart, buy used and buy cash. Keep the Mach and have one of the nicest cars around.

Used, you have no idea what the guy before you did to it. Sucks you are having issues, have you looked into possibly getting Ford to do you a solid and fix it? There is so much bad press about these transmissions that they might just do it.

I say don't do it. Seeing a normal clean Mach makes me happier than a new 5.0 let alone a super sexy one like yours. I'd hold onto it if I was you.
