Speedcal broken. Do i still have to get for to reset speedo?

Have a 96 mustang gt with 4.56 gears in the back end I bought it this way with a speedcal in it. I changed the VSS in the car and still got nothing. Should I buy a new speedcal and then take it to ford to reset the speedo? Or should I just take it to ford and see what they say?

Do you have a tuner for it? That would fix the speedo. Got 3.73s in mine, had em write a new tune, perfect.

Just get a new speed calibrator. Tuners don't fix the speedometers on anything older than a 98. Plus the speed cal is a quarter of the price of a tuner anyways. Then take it to any performance shop, or try to do it yourself. Not too difficult when they include instructions.

Glad you got it fixed, didn't know a tuner wouldn't fix it.
