96 GT 4.6 Cylinder 1 misfire/ ticking noise

Hey guys. I'm looking for some help. I'm not a car guy but have had my buddy that knows about cars look at mine and We arent really sure whats wrong...

I've got a 96 GT 4.6 that started making a ticking noise and when i accelerated it sounded pretty loud/bad. Check engine light also on.

We put it on the tester and it came back with a cylinder 1 misfire. We pulled the spark plug and it was pretty black and looked a little wet but didn't seem all that bad. We cleaned it and put it back in. My buddy checked the coil and he said it seemed to be fine. The oil was a little low so we filled it and it still has the ticking noise. It doesnt seem like i lose MUCH power but you can tell at times.

Last year we changed the intake manifold, water pump, plugs, thermostat. I did notice that i would have coolant overflow from the cap but it stopped doing it. It started back up and then the ticking started.

Can you guys give me some suggestions.

Sounds like these:
