Cylinder 6 miss

Well my 2000 gt is acting up on me. It started running rough at idle and threw a cylinder 6 misfire. I have swapped the coil and no change. Plugs have 45,000 miles or so but the injectors are stock and have 188,000 on the car. Should I get a new injector? Can I replace just the one or should I replace all because of the miles and age? Thanks

Replace all the injectors at once. There are a few sites that will take your old ones in as cores and send you a set of 8 rebuilt/flow tested ones for $200 I think. I'd upgrade to #21 pink top injectors while you are at it. They came on the 01.5-04 cars and the tune is the exact same. It'll run a little rich but that's how they all ran from the factory anyway.

However, don't just throw parts at it, find out exactly what the issue is. Could be the plug honestly, pull it and see. I just know what my 12 yr old injectors looked like back in 2007 when I pulled the #24s out of my 95. Literally falling apart and its a good idea to replace them.

Try replacing the plugs first. If you swap injectors swap all of them not just one. If none of this works. Next step is a leakdown test.

I'd try new plugs. Just to be safe it's cheaper.

Well I started the car today and no engine light and it runs fine now. I guess it could have been a stuck injector or trash I the fuel. I did get gas from a place I never use.

Might be a loose wire somewhere then or you just did get a batch of bad gas. I'd still highly recommend new injectors at that mileage/age though.
