Help picking exhaust

I have an 03 GT stock and would love to get a better sound out of the exhaust, looking for a deeper and mean sound.
Any suggestions???

How loud and what's your budget? Everybody and their brother is gonna recommend SLP LM1s with an off road x pipe. I personally love my Magnaflow exhaust.

Magnaflow Streets are my favorite for most applications. They sound even better with a catless Xpipe. The best part about the Streets is they can be somewhat tame when you want to be, but still loud at WOT!

Hope this helps!

Hmm OK. AM has the Mac catback, Pypes catback, and Flowmaster catback for the $400 range. Won't be able to get much else in that price range unless you can find a used setup.

I do want to point out the Magnaflows are just my personal preference. Just about every Mustang enthusiast has a different taste than one another. That's one of the best things about modifying your Mustang, there's tons of options to choose from. You have a chance to personalize the car to your particular taste! So, there's a good chance you'll prefer a different catback, too.

Your best bet is to meet up with other forum members, friends, or head to a car show. Then hear different exhaust setups in person!

Yea I would love to hear some in person, but I rarely go to car shows due to work. I've heard some really good exhaust from other stangs on the road passing by just didn't know what there setup was.

O/R prochamber - $180 (2) Flowmaster 44s - $70 + $70 Welding the mufflers in - $50-80... Balances out to just about 400 for an awesome exhaust set up

That's what I have and even the guy who installed the mufflers said that is what a Mustang is supposed to sound like.

Get on youtube and watch vids of all different exhaust setups. Or got to a local meet or even a local strip and listen to ppl's combos.

I hear ya on the availability to go to car shows/meets. It can be hard to make it out to places with a busy work schedule. I would say your next best bet is to check out some of the exhaust clips on our AM site. Under most exhaust catbacks or axle backs, we have exhaust clips taken with HD quality cameras. Although hearing exhaust through the computer doesn't do justice, I'd say our exhaust clips are as good as they come!

Good luck with your decision. Give me a shout if I can be of anymore assistance!

Shane

Welp to make it easy get on youtube and type:

Mustang 2V

-Borla
-Bassanni
-Magnaflow
-Flowmaster
-MAC
-Pypes
-Spintech
-SLP
-Dynomax

I lurved my Dynomax UltraFlows on my 5.0 Cobra. Had longtubes and an offroad pipe too. Nice and tame at idle with a good rumble, no drone at all on the highway and would SCREAM when you punched it.

Second that
Personally I like (and have) Flowmaster Super 40's. They're not too loud at idle, but when you start climbing RPM's it sounds deep and smooth. Some people like when the sound gets choppy though, and if that's you then you will not want these.
