Adjusting lifters 2000 GT

Hey guys I have a 2000 GT, had the heads re finished because the engine over heated. Everything is back together however it has this slight tick near cylinder 2. It is throwing a code of cylinder 2 misfire. My dad says he thinks it's the lifters that need adjusting. What does everyone else say. If that's the case how hard and what tools are needed?

There are no lifters in the overhead cam modular. There are lash adjusters but they shouldn't be bad.

If you're getting a misfire the first thing I would do is check your wiring and swap the #2 COP with another cylinder's COP. If it follows there is your issue. Also did when you did the plugs did you gap them properly and torque them in to spec?
