Lowering

So I have been thinking about lowering my 01 gt vert and have been asking around amongst friends and the shop.
I dont wanna scrap during everyday driving but I want that aggressive looking stance. One buddy said I need to just cut the springs and another one said to just buy lowering springs. Which one should I stick with?
Also, how does a 1.5" drop sound?

Some people cut their springs, but if you want to get the lowered look with a bit of added handling, get real lowering springs. A 1.5" drop should be perfect if you are stock and don't want to go super low. Any lower and you will also need CC plates and a bumpsteer kit. I'm lowered about 1"-1.25"(at the most) and i still scrape my exhaust or Mach 1 chin places occasionally.

I've always been 2" and lower , never used Caster/Camber Plates ..
Tires always been fine

You can always cut a full coil & remove the ISO's
No problem and will give you the stance of aftermarket springs

I've done both ways and am currently on cut springs. I previously had H&R Race springs and loved them. I haven't ordered CC plates yet, but I like the added camber for track day so I'm fine with my current setup. This is my only pic of my old setup unfortunately.

Definitely need to lower it. If road conditions around you aren't too bad then I would just slam it like Slow's car

If that's just one coil cut and no ISO's then that should be easy enough. It looks great and the rd conditions here aren't bad. The only thing I would have a problem with would be speed bumps, which I can avoid, and the gas station I go is a steep hill, but I can change stations. Haha

No clue, I'd guess something like Slow's car. I plan on getting coil-overs and finding out
