You won't really notice anything performance wise. I'm sure that guy thinks you'll lose power because you lost some back pressure right?

He's retarded. Straight pipes are just gonna make the car louder and that's about it.

Don't do it! Just get a set if magnapacks, slp 2s, or the m80s. They are all loud and will have a nice tone to them compared to the jake brake sound of the straight pipe. And yes it won't lose enough hp to matter, back pressure wise, or would be about same.

As I have said many times I went with the loudmouth resonators or LM1s and I didn't like them at all and have had several buddies that hated them as well. They are pretty much like running a straight pipe, just need a little insulation in there on a straight thru muffler to get a nice deep tone, will still have rasp, and will still be nice and loud. A o/r or high flow mid pipe will help your decibel level a lot as well. Go to you tube and you can hear most set ups.

LMs sound a ton better with an h vs an x IMO. I had them with an o/r x and they sounded terrible, loud of course but not what I wanted. H makes them deeper with more tone I think.

A redline rev does nothing when they are a bus length ahead of you...

I look at it as a loud bark from a sissy dog, or like an instinctive defense mechanism. Lol.

Bus length ahead of me they would still hear me… The only people around me that are stupid enough to mess with me are diesel trucks ricers and other mustangs, that are nothing or stupid drivers. The big dogs don't mess around cuz its a waste of gas and i wouldn't mess with them anyways.

Yeah what is the deal with diesel or jacked up piece of crap trucks and messing with mustangs? I have had that scenario many times this past summer, don't remember it being that bad in the past. I have had faster, "cooler", louder, cars in my time I didn't have as many issues like this at all. But it has been the trucks lately, typically of the age group 18-25, with a monster or a browning sticker in their back window (usually some form of energy drink/hunting or gun logo). And of course the single stack in their bed, that's a must. Almost had one run me off the road last summer coming home from the Woodward dream cruise with my son in his car seat in my car, needles to say I took him home to safety and made a mental note of where it pulled off to their driveway, then paid him a visit (all legal though no road rage, just some words of encouragement to make him think twice before he kills someone). I would like to think my vigilante justice in this case taught him a good lesson as he was very taken back to see me in front of his house as he was unloading his truck. Ok long enough story. But it just struck me you said that and wondered if others have this same issue with the peaty diesels. I may have been a punk kid in my day but never put anyone in danger on the road.

Didn't mean "peaty" diesels. It's not a local term or put down for this particular grouping, lol, just a typo. :face palm. Meant "punk" diesels. Now that seems like a dumb quote too, gonna quit while in ahead on this one.

Loudmouths are badass. But that's alittle bias. I loved them even when I didn't have them
