Spare tire size

Hey people. I need a spare tire for my 2000 mustang gt. I have the factory 245/45/17 tires on it. I don't have the spare. I can get a factory spare rim for free I just need to know the size of the factory spare for the gt. thanks

Honestly if you want a spare tire I'd get an extra wheel of whatever you have and put a cheap tire on it and throw in your trunk.

I have a friend that had a gt that he sold and he has the rim. He can't remember the size. I don't want to put a larger wheel in the trunk and take up most of the space. I just need a tire that will fit in the space.

Shouldn't it say the size on the sticker in your door jamb/glove box

They came with donuts, not full size spare tires. If you need an actual spare you want to keep in the trunk find someone with ANY 94-04 stock 17" rim that is curbed to **** or whatever and they are just giving it away for free or a 6 pack and go pick it up. Then buy a used/plugged tire at a local gas station or wherever and have them mount it. Boom, cheap spare.
