TR3650 Power Hold?

A everyone knows my car is going through a big transformation.

My weakest link seems to be my rear end and transmission. What can the TR3650 hold stock? As well as the 8.8in GT rear end?

Not sure about the tranny, but an 8.8 with 31 spline diff and axles should hold more than enough power for whatever you can throw at it.

If you're gonna run slicks, then yes, stock axles stand a good shot at breaking at those power levels

Stock 3650 trans is good for up till around 500whp which is where the stock 10 spline input shaft will twist or snap off. Upgrade that to a 26 spline and if everything else in that trans is ok now it should hold for awhile.

Alright, thanks guys! How hard is an axle swap?

My clutch is gonna be fine. It's rated way more than what I'll be using it for. And if the tranny can hold up to 500rwhp then I'm not too worried anymore.

As for that spline upgrade.. What is that all going to entail swapping?

Take the trans apart and get a new clutch.

I literally have four miles on my new ram dual disk clutch and alum flywheel.

Remember I've been doing a huge rebuild for a while now?

Axle swap is a new 31 or preferably 33 spline rear diff and matching axles. The input shaft is pulling your 10 spline input shaft out and installing a 26 spline shaft. Clutch needs to be changed for a 26 spline one as well.

What's the cost of all that aside from the new clutch?

Do you know if it was stock 10 spline? I'm not gonna beat the hell out of it all the time for sure. But I want it to handle a hard launch at 450rwhp

Yeah. I've had a few people tell me it'll hold some power. Thanks! I'm gonna look at upgrading my rear still but I really hated the idea of havin to get a new clutch because I just bought a brand new and very expensive one. D:

Bone stock like I said. 10 spline and errthang. He had a 26 spline shaft and clutch on his shelf for months waiting for the goddam thing to break. Car was making 520 to the wheels IIRC.
