I had to send my clutch into Exedy under warranty. I've been hassling back and forth with them and they were taking forever to reply. Long story short they said sorry for the delay and told me they are gonna send me out a whole new clutch kit. He asked me "what kind of clutch do you want?" If I'm not mistaken he's pretty much saying I can have whatever clutch I want. I'm not positive tho. I bought the stage 1 originally and I'm debating if I should ask for stage 2 or stick to my stage 1. I have a tune and all normal bolt on except tb and plenum which I do plan to get in the future. What's your guys opinion? Do I not need stage 2, is it worth it to even ask? I didn't get stage 2 originally to save $40 or something like that

If you've got the opportunity to get a free upgrade, i'd do it. Especially if you plan on trying to crank up the power level in the future.

I guess really my only concern is how stiff the clutch is going to be. When I had the stage 1 in my car before I sent it in, the stiffness was barely noticeable over stock and I didn't mind it. Anyone with stage 2 clutch how is the stiffness?

Well i mean, it'll probably stiffer. But my stage 1 clutch was definitely much stiffer than stock, as told to me by the previous owner. But honestly, it just takes getting used to. Do you have any horsepower rating to compare the two?

The difference in my stage 1 vs stock was negligible. No hp rating. AM says stage 1 is rated for 430ft/lbs and stage 2 438ft/lbs lol

I got the stage 2 exedy, pedal is not stiff at all. Was a little stiff during break in but has loosened up nicely

Yeah same one I got. I DD mine, but only like 20 miles round trip. Still think pedal feel is fine compared to stock

To me there was not a noticeable difference between the stage 2 exedy and the clutch that came out which was a AutoZone stock replacement (previous owner put in not me)
