I'm thinking it will be a close race. If you can, get a video! I'd love to watch.

Me too. I'm hoping with 4.10s an auto trans and slicks I rip him out of the hole. I'm going to try launching it like John Force lol. Hell I may do a burnout through the 60 foot then back up to the tree lol

Good luck man, i'll be Rootin' for the New Edge. I'm sure someone with more knowledge than I will chime in, and be able to give you your real chances.

Hell that's what I'm hoping for. I feel the only way I will lose is if he trades/sells it lol. He's got it on craigslist for trade for a diesel truck or a bike to see what's out there. People around here in virginia are all about a turbo diesel for some reason lol.

Put an aftermarket stall converter in there and you'll rape him.

That'd do it. If you are serious about doing it get ahold of Freakshow Performance in Texas. His converters are half of what PI charges and just as good. Will feel like you added a 100 shot to the car coming off the line.

Drain/remove trans, remove old converter, put new converter in, fill back up, follow any break in procedures. Get a triple disc, I'd say 2800-3200 for the street but there are guys running 4k+ stalls on street cars because they just like it.

I've seen cars setup just like that fox cutting 1.6 60 ft times running around 12.8 and that is with the driver just nailing every shift.

Conversely have seen cars setup like the 04 with a good aftermarket converter doing 12.5s all day.

I say run them and find out. If the fox guy can really drive it'll be close. If he's an average driver it won't be.

We had an amicable divorce. Sometimes I'll still get a hankering to go put it in her.

But honestly I feel the modulars are better for what I want to do and I love not being limited by a glass jaw block or having to pay $2500 for a heavier aftermarket one. I can put my arm through a cylinder on my Teksid and walk around my garage with it hanging off my hip and I paid $250 for it and the OEM forged crank.

And getting back on topic, the 2V is really REALLY maligned and underrated because of how terrible the NPI was when it first came out. A bolt on PI 2V is nothing to sneeze at and setup properly they can surprise the eff out of much more powerful cars.

Haha that was my 91GT. Faded blue paint, pitted rims, torn up interior, ratty carpet, crud all over it, DIY tint from the PO turning purple and peeling off etc...

And it was an absolute blast to drive.

Haha sounds just like his. The damn front tires turn inwards and needs an alignment. When I asked why he didn't get an alignment after it was inspected he said he spent the money elsewhere on the car. When I asked for what he bought two new dynomax race bullett mufflers.

For those still following this he traded his fox body. Found a guy on craigslist who did an even swap with his 240sx with the sr20det swap done to it.
