Do you have stock gears? Is it a manual? I think it's right around 37-40mph for stock gears and a manual. I do about 35 with my 3.55s

Just go for a drive and floor it in first and keep an eye on your speedo for when it shifts

Max speed of like 20-25 in first for my 02 GT with 4.10s. At least that's what I think it is. First gear usually lasts only like one second. I love these gears.

Even with 3.27s the first gear doesn't last that long lol

Why would you want your car geared that low?

My Z28 runs 61mph in first with a 6 spd and 3.42 gears @ 7200 rpm. It's perfect.

Don't even pay attention when in racing

Only thing I ever look at is my Rpms and the road infront of me

And last but not least my rear view mirror lol

Because our cars don't have almost 600rwhp so we have to make up for it.

I could have sworn my friends 02 GT 5spd with I think 3.27 gears (or whatever is stock gears) ran 45 - 50 Mph at the top of first.

I'm swapping from 3.73 to 4.10 in my Cobra. Will put me at the top of 4th through the traps on 28" tire. 3.73 just wasn't enough from the 3.55's.

Never paid attention honestly. I know it will do 70 or so in 2nd.

Because a stockish GT doesn't even really accelerate in third gear. That's terrible.

First gear is really short as it is so the gears just compound that. All the other gears are fine.

And also about your Z28's gearing versus mine.. My engine only revs out to about 6k, power and ends around 5700 or so. So that's also why it's short.

I love my gearing. Especially with this new engine build.. It's sick. Just sick.
