Snapped Control Arm , 4V engine swap

Well purchased the SVE upper and lower control arms , and well you get what you pay for , I was driving and had to launch to beat traffic and heard a clunk, and later lifted my car up and took me year tires off to check if it was a lose caliper and i saw my upper control arm broken .. So I sent a email , have to see if there is a warranty i only had them for like 2 months,

I went to a local junk yard and pulled one practically brand new for 5 dollars off a 1990 mustang Click image for larger version

ID:	142431 it was only 5 dollars too!

Also I'm doing a 4V swap in my buddy's GT tomorrow, any expectations?

He has complete drivetrain out of a 99 cobra, with harness, only thing is worrying me is pacesetter long tubes having fitment issues over the k member ( stock )
Thanks

Sucks that you broke the control arm! I always wondered about the quality of the SVE and SR products. I think I have my answer now -avoid the cheapie manufacturers!

Good luck with the 4v swap, you should take lots of pics and do a write up man!

Here's some pictures of today

I installed upper and Lower control arms, springs , routed the catback.

We tore the engine down to re-do the timing cover , oil pan, valve cover gaskets.

Dropping
The engine was a big headache , never get Pacesetter headers, horrible fitment on driver side.

Yes pacesetter is horrible , do not get them, we got the steering shaft in but it may be rubbing on the longtube on the driver side.

Ah thats no bueno. Shouldn't be too hard to figure something out though. Are we going to be luck enough to get a start up vid and maybe even a little burnout!?

The car started last night, after installing the driveshaft , and x pipe and after installing tank.. I just wasn't there i was getting a tattoo ,
Will post more pictures and status updates ,

NOTE : We re-wired the old GT wire harness , and it isn't as easy as a lot of write ups make it out to be.

+1 on the pacesetters, I'm having a nightmare trying to get them in, I'm breaking down and getting a shop to put them in custom.
