ID:	142711 is the light that's out just a bulb I can throw in or is it something I have to get ford to do

The one that's out is the defrost and a/c select knob

I'm wondering about this too my select knob and a few other things are unreadable at night. Is there an easy fix ?

Yes, thise ser single led's you can swap the one by the shifter(automatics) are changeable too and the on the dash... Only ones you can't change are the ones on stock radio and bottons below radio(trac,defro&fogs) I mean you could but it's a lot of work involved... There's a tread some where on google about this..
