Door Ajar Light?

Apologies for the dumb question, but does the 96-04 Stang have a door ajar light? If not, how does it alert you if your door or trunk are not fully closed?

The dome light won't go off and usually the car will beep a couple times

Hmm maybe that's just the beep from when I first get in the car that I'm thinking of

Well, the reason for my question is that this morning as I drove to work I heard a faint beep, which I thought was background noise on the podcast I was listening to. But later on the freeway I heard that beep again and thought, what the heck is that? Meanwhile, there was more wind noise than usual in the cabin, which you'd think would have clued me in, but noooo, I just thought "wow, it's windy today." I get to work and park, and when I open my door it just swings open. Guess I'm lucky I didn't take any hard right turns!

It throws me because I haven't had this car very long, and my other car has lights on the dash that indicate any open doors. Seems kind of weird that this car doesn't warn you more aggressively about these things!

Only beeping noise my car makes while driving is for my seatbelt. As stated dome lights stay on when door isn't shut. I believe the only time you car dings for the door is when the car is off, keys in ignition and door is open. And that's more to tell you not to forget your keys. Also it only makes that beep when the door is wide open
