1997 gt engine oil

Hello.Im looking into doing a tune up on my gt.
I'm wondering what engine oil I should put to give max performance as well as spark plugs,
I've seen royal purple engine oil,and also ford motorcraft. As of now I have conventional oil and I'm wondering what will be the benifits of going to synthetic.thank you

I'd say go with what ford recommends there's no power to be gained in an oil change and sparkplugs

Spark plugs DO matter

NGK TR55 are what the modular motors love, I felt a good difference when I swapped over from ford plugs.

Just be sure to check out my spark plug write up in the stickies to make sure the Gap on plugs is correct, TQ lb , etc.

Synthetic is good for a couple reasons , not really going to be all scientific ..

Longer oil changes
Superior additives
Designed to provide better lubrication in times of extreme heat / stress on engine
Oil molecules are a lot better
Less engine wear
