Just took my car in to Alternative Auto Performance to have the cams installed. Stage 2 cams with a new tune. They recommend you do the tune right away. Looking forward to that sound that only cams can give and some extra power never hurts either!!

You live near Lidio? I hate you. Lol. Lidio will have that thing purring when he is done with it. And screw the sound vs an extra 30+ to the wheels from just the cams. I mean the sound is nice but that's going to be a pretty drastic pickup and get you near 300 to the wheels with everything else done.

I agree scottydsntknow! I took the car in today 4/4/14. Should be done Monday or Tuesday of next week! I have all BBK products from cold air intake to 78mm throttlebody,full-length ceramic coated headers, underdrive pulleys and a 3.73 gearing in back. She put down 266 RWHP and 298 tq on an extremely hot and humid day when it was dynode. I'm hoping now with the cooler weather to get 300 at the wheels and I'll be happy!!!

@scottydsnknow. I got my car back today. Alternative Auto put in Crower Stage 2 Cams. The car put down on the dyno 295 RWHP and 305 foot pounds of torque at the rear wheels. Love the sound and its much stronger from 3500 rpm all the way up!! Worth every penny to me.

Let me know what you get! I'm loving the sound and feel of the car. It's gonna be fun this summer pulling up to other cars with the rumpy idle. How do you get a video on here. When I go to put it up it only lets me go to my pictures only?

Roguestang, yes before I put the cams in I had every bolt on. The car made 266 RWHP and 298 TQ at the rear! So the cams were worth 29 hp and 7 foot pounds of torque. It really pulls harder from 3500 and just keeps going. Before I had to shift at 4500-4700 rpm,now I just got it back today so I'm not really sure yet where my shift points are. It's much higher I can tell you that! I lost just a little low end TQ but not much. I didn't have time to really drive the car much but I'll be experimenting seeing what it's really got and where it's sweet spots are

Took the car out today and playing around, I realized now with these new cams I can shift between 5500 and 5700 rpm it gets right in the sweet spot for the next gear. Loving these cams more and more!!

Yeah they do wonders for the 2V. I still just think the price is a bit prohibitive especially if you are having a shop do them. I sometimes kick around getting cams and doing a DIY install but I need to learn my QH first and find a good set of used ones for $300 on the corral that pop up from time to time.

It's too big of a job for me. Lidio from Alternative Auto did a great job and with the tuning of the car it sounds and runs great!
