HID fog light installation question

I ordered HID fog lights for my 2000 GT and I have a question for those of you who have HID fog lights. Where did you mount the ballasts at?

Any other advice on the installation would be greatly appreciated also.

Thank You,
Bill

Just crawl under and find a secure place. I've made the mistake of not finding a secure place and lost my ballast somewhere on the road lol

Zip ties are your friend. Just check them once in a while. Plastic gets brittle and fails.

I haven't done the driving lights yet, but when I did the hids for my headlamps I first sanded the steel frame behind the headlight buckets and then primered the area. I then double side taped the ballast to the primer, I then ran my wires accordingly and zip tied the wires. I purchased bi-xenon hids so I also had to make sure there was room behind the headlamp case for the motor, so I zipped the wires to the sides of the headlight support for clearance.

Also if you have to cut any wires to lengthen or junction anything make sure to use shrink tube and crimp fittings with solder for years of use.

I made the exact same mistake. I used a self-tapping screw along with double sided tape to secure the ballast to the flat bottom panel on the bumper

Used self tapping screws and a bracket

Zip ties fail after a while

I zipped tied my wires

Sorry for the late response everyone, but the wires were long enough for the ballasts of my fog lights to be mounted right next to the ballasts for my headlights. All worked out and looks very nice!
