Upper radiator hose inner diameter

I'm thinking about buying a coolant temp gauge, I'm going to use the water temp sensor hose attachment. Does anyone know the upper inner radiator hose diameter?

Just take your old one off and compare it at the auto parts store

I've looked up upper radiator hose for my model and year on some auto parts stores. The tell me the inner diameter but it ranges from 1.4 inches to 1.7.

Thanks, might just buy a new hose and use that one to replace the factory one, that way I'll know the inner diameter.
