2004 Convertable: Vibrating driver's mirror. Problem solved.
If you can remove the mirror glass assembly(glass and plastic backer) without breaking the little fingers, you can fix it.
Run the mirror all the way in on the inside and out on the outside. Pry the fingers loose very carefully with a long thin common screw driver until you have enough free to get it off.
The problem: See the round groove in the round foam pad? That is the problem. The foam is suposed to take up the slack. It gets old and a groove appears.
The solution: Very carefully pry the foam rubber pad loose. Very carefully fill just the groove with silicone rubber. No extra. flip the pad and put the foam pad back on the mirror silicone side down now. The silicone is the "glue and groove filler. Center the foam pad and smooth it out. Let it dry. Now very carefully "click" the glass and backer back in place aligning the notch and keys top and bottom first. Press firmly, don't drop it.
